Previously, I`ve prepared students for Common Entrance, focusing on English, and have coached a student for a 13+ scholarship examination for a leading public school. I have wide experience teaching 11+ verbal reasoning, creative writing and comprehension. I have successfully prepared staye school students to secure both places and highly coveted scholarships for leading London private schools.
Previously, I`ve taught and mentored students from GCSE to degree level. I was employed by my Oxford college to teach advanced level English literature to groups of sixth form students, coaching them in study skills and essay technique at residential vacation schools. I mentored sixth form students individually, guiding them with university applications and building confidence: one of my mentees secured a place to study Geography at Cambridge. I have also tutored undergraduate students in essay style and constructing effective arguments, proofreading and offering feedback on coursework.
