I am a first-year undergraduate Physics student at Imperial College London, but my adventure with London and British education started much earlier - last year I have been awarded a full scholarship for education and boarding at Dulwich College. The conditions of the scholarship meant that I had to complete the A-Levels course in an accelerated fashion, sitting all exams in one year. I managed to do that (with good results!) and now I`m more than happy to share my knowledge and experience with you or your child!
A few key facts about me:
I am passionate about explaining. Getting my knowledge across to other people has been of interest to me for many years. I have delivered many short lectures on different topics to varying audiences, always succeeding in adjusting my message so that it is understood, even if I am talking about Scanning Tunnelling Microscopy to humanities students. I love communicating science, and I have been recognised for it.
I have tutoring experience. From explaining more complicated topics to my friends, to helping an A-Levels student through his Physics education, I have practised helping others gain knowledge for a long time. Thanks to my deep understanding of the topics, I can relay them in a way that is easy to remember and to apply to practical problems.
Language is not a barrier. I have spent one year and a half living and studying in London, polishing my English skills to a level when communication is not a problem. I am also familiar with all the vocabulary necessary for the exams, as I have studied for them and passed them with very good results. I have also obtained an 8.5/9 grade in the IELTS exam, for a more quantifiable metric of my language skills.
I do have interests outside of science! I love cycling, reading, science fiction and fantasy, new technology, photography, and art in general. I also used to write poetry back in the day!
A few of my achievements and past endeavours:
In 2017 I have been chosen to be team captain of the team representing the United Kingdom in the finals of the International Young Physicists` Tournament in Singapore, a competition demanding great science and presentation skills, as well as debating expertise.
I have taken part in many workshops and internships organised by the Polish Children`s Fund, which nourished and developed my love and passion for science.
During the year in Dulwich, I got to the finals of the BAFTA Young Game Designers Game Making Award, I have achieved Gold and a Top 50 mark in the second stage of the British Physics
Olympiad, and reached a high score in the finals of the UK Bebras Computational
