I’m a Cambridge graduate with a PGCE from the University of Nottingham and nine years of secondary teaching experience. I stopped teaching in July 2014 so that I could pursue a writing career, but I am still passionate about helping people to fulfil their potential, especially in my subject of geography.

My aim is always to make geography interesting and relevant. I will work with students to find out their specific needs, and provide a range of learning techniques to enable that individual to succeed to the best of their ability. I believe in clear dialogue, honest feedback and active encouragement to boost confidence and nurture talents.

Availability: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings. All week days during the day.

Willing to travel: 8 miles

Experience: I taught in an outstanding school in Oxford. It was a large comprehensive with a varying catchment area, so I am used to bringing out the best in students with a wide range of abilities. During that time I taught students aged 11 – 18, including GCSE and A level courses and their associated skills papers. I specialise in human geography but have also taught physical geography and decision-making papers involving pre-released material.
