I read English Literature at Clare College, Cambridge and after graduating worked at Lindsell Marketing before moving on to tutoring which I have been doing for the last three years, very successfully. I moved to Glasgow in September 2015 to attend the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland where I am studying for an MMus in Vocal Performance. My college hours give me flexibility in the evenings and at weekends. As a tutor I am passionate about teaching skills as well as facts so that children are able to fulfil their potential and work with confidence independently. I am very friendly and enthusiastic. My excellent communication skills have allowed me to develop strong bonds with the children I have worked with, which has helped me get the most out of sessions and respond to the varying needs of individuals. I believe strongly in engaging children, rather than patronising them. This approach has allowed me to be a pastoral support to my pupils as well as a very successful academic guide. I am imaginative in the way that I teach in order to excite and engage children across the core subjects of English, Maths and Science. I am now very interested in moving on to more work with older children, including those preparing for public exams, across a wider range of subjects.
Availability: I am available weekday evenings and weekend mornings.

Experience: I am a very experienced and highly successful tutor and have been working as a tutor in London for the past three years, primarily with children aged 4-11. My main focus has been on entrance exams and general learning at 7+ and 11+ level. I designed the programmes to be followed myself and adapted it to suit the needs of the individual. I successfully helped my pupils get into their first choice schools, which were some of Londons top institutions including North London Collegiate School, Colet Court and Highgate. I have also worked on several residential placements and have used my interpersonal skills tone discreet and helpful whilst living with the families in question. Please see below for more details.
