Qualified teacher and PhD graduate from University of Cambridge

I have over ten years experience as a tutor and have been a qualified teacher since 2014. I believe one-to-one tutoring is the best way for students to make secure and speedy progress and I am passionate about helping children to succeed. I am friendly, approachable and have experience tutoring children as young as five years old.

Qualifications:

- PGCE in Science Education
- First class degree in Natural Sciences MSci, where I studied Biology/Chemistry/Maths
- MRes in Cancer Biology at Imperial College London
- PhD in Cancer Genetics at University of Cambridge

At primary level, I tutor for the 11+ entrance exams (verbal reasoning, non-verbal reasoning, English and maths) or general skills in maths, English and science.

For older students, I have experience tutoring biology, chemistry, physics and maths at both KS3 and GCSE. I am happy to help you with whichever aspect you would like to focus on the most, whether it is improving your subject knowledge or exam practice and technique.

Availability: Weekday evenings and weekends. In person tuition or online.

Experience: I am a qualified science teacher and have a comprehensive knowledge of the GCSE and A level specifications and the content taught at secondary level for different exam boards. As well as good subject knowledge, I have extensive experience grading papers and will be able to help you with refining your exam technique.
