I graduated from Oxford University last year and am currently living in south London. I achieved First Class Honours in Philosophy and Theology. With a broad range of A Levels both in humanities and sciences I am also able to tutor a wide range of subjects to a high level. However my speciality is philosophy, ethics and RS, of which I have extensive experience both in a personal academic sense and as a teacher.

I always enjoyed helping younger students at school, and first applied this more formally through tutoring some time ago. When tutoring I try my utmost to impart my enthusiasm for learning to others, aided by my energy and dynamic approach. My personal goal as a tutor is to really get the student to share my enjoyment for the subject matter first, in order to help them to reach their full potential.

Experience: Oxbridge Preparation

Over the past year I have assisted with four Oxbridge applications, in applications for Philosophy and Italian Literature, two for Philosophy and Theology, and Biology. I helped both with interview technique, suggested reading, discussions, and personal statements. I extensively assisted three out of the four students to the eventual achievement of offers following successful interviews.

University Assistance

I have assisted several students of both philosophy and theology at various different universities (including Oxford and York) with difficulties they have experienced studying certain topics. I helped the students through targeted lessons to aid them in overcoming their difficulties, in ethics, political theory and Christian theology.

A Level Assistance

I am an experienced A Level tutor, and have taught students studying Philosophy, RS, Maths, and History. My specialisation is Philosophy and RS, and I have taught multiple students across several different exam boards in these subjects. My assistance has varied between revision preparation and teaching content from scratch to students who have switched A Level subject choices.

GCSEs and Below

I have extensive experience with younger students, and have taught at children ages 7 to 16. For GCSEs, I have taught Maths, History, RS, Geography and more. I specialise as an English and Maths tutor for younger children, and have taught approximately 25 different students aged 7-13. This has varied between assisting with home work, catching up with missed lessons, regular sessions for students who are struggling or need to be pushed further, and preparation for schools with highly selective tests.
