I am a retired teacher of Latin, Greek and Ancient History who spent 17 years teaching at an excellent independent school and was, once upon a time, headmaster of two independent schools.

Availability: I am available almost all the time and can be very flexible.

Experience: I gained a Double First in Classics from Oxford in 1979 and I have taught Latin, Greek, Ancient History and Classical Civilisation to students from 11 to 18 since 1984. I have also written two books for Cambridge University Press, one on Herodotus, one a translation of Aristophanes` Clouds. I have also contributed a chapter on Thucydides to a recent A level text book.
