Information about Nabihah
Welcome to my Tutorhunt page!
My name is Nabihah and I am a experienced tutor in maths, biology, chemistry and physics. I tutor at a number of levels, KS2 to GCSE. I also provide tutoring for the 11+ entrance exam and medical school applications. I have been tutoring since I completed my GCSEs in 2014.
I have completed my fourth year at medical school and will embark on a BSc in Medical Education from September 2020. I will then return to medical school to complete my final year in August 2021.
When working with students I like to ensure my students understand key concepts and reasoning. This is so they can tackle tricky exam questions and boost their confidence. I am a motivated individual and will do very best to ensure my students succeed. Equally, I am also very patient and recognise that some students may struggle with maths and science. If that is the case, I am happy to repeat myself as many times as needed and try new approaches to help my students understand!

Willing to travel: 4 miles
Experience: Titanium tutors (2020)
This is one to one tutoring for regular tutees ranging from KS2 to KS4. I teach biology, chemistry, physics and maths. Tutoring sessions depend on the needs of the student. For example, some students prefer to discuss homework whereas others prefer to be taught.
CREST Silver Award (2016)
This qualification involved teaching Primary school students from year 4-6 over 6 months. I was responsible for delivering interactive science lessons. For each lesson, I had to plan and prepare materials which would be checked by my supervisor.
Young sports Leader Award (2013)
To complete this qualification, I was responsible for teaching sports and sport biology to year 7 students. My role was to discuss the biology of the human body through PowerPoints, followed by a physical activity.
Over the past 6 years, I have been tutoring students privately in biology, chemistry, physics and maths from KS2 to GCSE. It is something I have always enjoyed hence why I`ve continued to work in this field. I find it very rewarding to witness my students achieve grades bump up, especially on GCSE results day!
Being a medical student, I understand the process of applying to a highly competitive course. I can provide guidance and advice from personal statements, UKCAT and interview preparation. I have been mentoring sixth form students on medical school applications since 2016.
