Royal Academy of Music
Information about Matthew
I am a young and friendly young freelance saxophonist, with several years experience working with students of all ages and standards. I recently graduated from London`s prestigious Royal Academy of Music with a Distinction in jazz performance, and have performed in many of London`s top live music venues, including: The 606, King`s Place, Queen Elizabeth Hall, the Purcell Room, The Bull`s Head, and The Forge. In addition to this, I have worked as an assistant tutor on both the NYJOS and Mehr Clef summer schools, and am currently training on NYJC`s young jazz educator scheme.
I am particularly interested in jazz and improvised music, but am equally happy working in different styles according to a students taste, and I am able to work towards classical or jazz grade exams.
