Information about Aidan
I am an outstanding teacher of science with experience of teaching 11-18-year-olds. I have taught all sciences to GCSE and Physics and Biology to A-level. I am currently taking a couple of years out of teaching to complete my PhD in Environmental and Civil Engineering.
I love teaching and seeing young people succeed in science and have tutored a number of both my own and other teacher`s students for a number of years. I teach on a number of courses at Newcastle University in Civil and Environmental Engineering and have had the pleasure of designing and leading courses in Molecular biology in Malaysia and the UK. Additionally, I am a marker for exam boards for Physics GCSE and A-level and so I am well placed to help young people succeed in science.
Availability: I am flexible, but generally available 10 am to 8 pm.
Willing to travel: 30 miles
Experience: I have taught General Science and Physics up to GCSE and Physics to A-level for 4 years. I have also been Head of Learning Community (house) for a year before taking a career break to study for a PhD.
During my PhD I have taught on a range of courses including: Hydraulics, molecular biology, Wastewater Engineering and Water Engineering. My full CV is available here: https://sourcetracking.me/cv/
