I am a qualified teacher with a first class degree in English and Philosophy. I have twenty year experience of teaching children and adults as a private tutor and in local colleges. Kindness, patience and building a rapport with students in order to build up their confidence is central to my approach. I also believe that enthusiasm is infectious and I absolutely love the subjects that I teach and feel very lucky to be sharing that enthusiasm with the students that I teach.

Availability: I can offer tuition either at my house in Hilton, Cambridgeshire or can travel up to 15 miles away.

Experience: In the middle of a successful career as an IT Training Consultant specializing in business change, I enrolled to study with the Open University and after six years of juggling full time work and bringing up my daughter I am proud to say that I gained a first class degree and lots of tips to share with students about time management as a result! Having successfully gained my PGCE at the University of East Anglia and taught in schools in Norfolk and Cambridgeshire I went on to use my skills as a senior manager in an adult education service which focuses on supporting adults who need a second chance to gain qualifications in literacy and numeracy and develop skills which help them to find work.
