Information about Sam
I am a First Class Psychology and Sociology graduate from the University of Cambridge (2012-2015).
In 2018 I also completed a Master`s in Performance Psychology- which focuses on identifying and applying psychological principles that facilitate peak performance in education, business, and sport.
Availability: Weekday afternoons, evenings and weekends
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: Since graduating, I tutored various students at A-Level, GCSE, and University level in a variety of essay based subjects.
I have been fortunate to see many of my students surpass their target grades and in some cases by three grades. I have also had success in helping university graduate with First class degrees through tutoring them in essay writing skills/techniques.
I have also run workshops and seminars at secondary schools, colleges, and universities to teach students how to study more effectively through mastering their mindset.
I also run a student blog (PerfPsy Sam) where I regularly write posts on how students can study smarter through understanding the psychology of learning and high performance. Here I share the tools, tips, and strategies that helped me and others fulfil our academic potential.

Sam was an extremely helpful and knowledgable tutor. He helped me in both sociology and psychology in which I achieved the grades I needed to get into the University of my choice. He was always able to help with exam technique, filling in knowledge gaps as well as helping with time management and revision organisation. We would highly recommend Sam as a supporting tutor and are very grateful for his help.

Sam has been tutoring my daughter for the past 5 months since she doing her A level psychology outside of school. Sams lessons are very well prepared and structured and he sets out a clear learning plan and learning goals. My daughter is really enjoying her lessons and she is making great progress. I would highly recommend Sam as a tutor. He is a very nice person, very committed and an exceptional teacher!
