Information about Sophie
I am a French native speaker, bilingual in English and I have been living in England for the past 30 years. I have more than 30 years experience in teaching. I hold a teaching qualification, Certificate in Education for Further Education. Cert.Ed. F. E.
My intent is to teach French in a relaxed atmosphere and in a fun way.
Of course, as a French native, I am so passionate about teaching my own language. As one of my students commented "my passion for French and languages is contagious!" I know the pitfalls of learning French through experience, so I have developed easy ways to explain the intricacy of the grammar rules in a simple way and in context while encouraging the verbal skills. I offer French classes one to one or small group. Business French for work, French for leisure, exam coaching. All classes tailored to the student`s needs.
Availability: Monday: 7pm until 9pm
Tuesday: 6pm
Wednesday: from 12pm until 5.30pm
Online classes via Skype
Classes can be shared for 2 persons or more if the level and needs are similar.
Willing to travel: 3 miles

I am very happy and excited every time that I have lesson with Sophie. She is very sweet person and I felt very comfortable with her from the first lesson. She is very professional teacher and she understands your needs. I like the fact that she is a native French teacher as I find it very important to get the accent. Highly recommend.

My daughter and I have now had French tuition with Sophie for about 5 months. Sophie is a very bubbly and personable tutor who is passionate about teaching her native language. She tailors lessons and learning approach to meet individual objectives, she is always prepared and punctual and she makes lessons fun. Thanks to Sophie, French grammar and pronunciation do not seem to be as hard as they were 5 months ago. I have made a great progress with my French and would definitely recommend Sophie as a tutor.

Being an adult learner of the French language, I needed someone who was patient, easy to understand, knew my requirements also the speed I could go and thorough.
