Honored with an Excellence in Graduate Teaching Award, I take pleasure in finding the strengths of a learner and building on them in an attempt to foster intrinsic motivation.
This empathic skill has been supplemented by long years of tutoring and teaching experience of all ages and in various countries. My cultural adaptability and familiarity of learning foreign languages is further due to my having traveled widely and lived in different countries - learning their respective languages and culture as well.
I actually grew up and was university educated bilingually in German & English and lived / studied in Germany and the USA for long periods of time.
My passions are teaching and writing; I am a published author of academic as well as creative writing internationally and in the USA.

Availability: I am relatively flexible by appointment.

Experience: My teaching career spans over 20 years, as I started tutoring at age 17, have taught my own courses, and eventually taught college composition in the USA. I got degrees in teaching foreign languages, speak several languages myself, and used to teach Rhetoric & Composition and literature courses to college students in Louisiana and Texas.
