I have graduated from University College London (UCL) with a Master`s degree in Psychology. I obtained a First class degree in my Master`s dissertation and I am currently in the process of publishing it.

I am a positive and hard working tutor teaching at primary, GCSE, AS, A2 and Undergraduate level. Currently, I am an Assistant Clinical Psychologist working towards a Clinical Psychology doctorate.

I tutor students in Psychology, Sociology, Mathematics and English language & literature. I am also able to proofread and edit essays, lab reports, systematic reviews and dissertations.

I am passionate about these subjects and have received an A* in my Psychology and Sociology exams (AS and A2). I have also obtained A *grades in GCSE English, Maths and Science.

When I’m not working, I enjoy dancing. I have been Ballroom & Latin dancing for over 10 years and it is a perfect way for me to unwind whilst also having fun. I also practice meditation and Bikram yoga, which helps me to relax and think more positively.

My tutoring approach:

I take a student-focused approach when teaching and really listen to the needs of each individual. At the start of each session, I listen carefully to what the student is currently working on and what they would like to focus on during the session. Then I create a plan of what each session should cover. I will ensure that sessions are pitched perfectly so my students can make progress straight away.

I have the ability to see the unique strengths in each of my students and I aim to build their confidence by using all learning modalities to develop these strengths. I am a patient tutor and I am dedicated to helping students to tackle challenges while also encouraging independent thought.

Teaching is a two way process so expect questions – lots of them! If any stumbling blocks have been encountered I will use a range of questioning techniques to get to the bottom of the problem. Once identified we can build the bridge and lay firm foundations on which to build.

My goals as a tutor is to increase students` grades, inspire them to be enthusiastic about learning and build their confidence. I use different learning techniques during sessions so that students can reach their full potential. I create a friendly atmosphere when I am tutoring by being non-judgmental and providing students with positive reinforcement.

At the end of each lesson, I set homework so that students can consolidate the material learnt and this is carefully tailored to the needs of each individual. I aim to give useful and constructive feedback that will benefit their grades.

Experience: I have experience teaching and working with children and young adults for over 6 years. Some of the roles include: after-school club learning mentor, teacher`s assistant (in a Special Needs School, nursery, reception, and primary school) and clinical support worker. I currently work as an Assistant Clinical Psychologist in a child and adolescents mental health service.
