Information about Matthew

After graduating from The University of Oxford I worked as a full time tutor for 4 years in central London and am currently a Phd student at Leeds University.

I studied, and currently research, geophysics but believe my strength as a tutor is due to 4 years of full time work in London. Here, I worked with several prestigious agencies and countless students across all major exam boards and consequently am familiar with syllabuses, past papers and effective teaching methods.

I am currently looking for several students to fill vacancies for weekday early evening tuition.

Availability: Monday - Thursday evenings.

Willing to travel: 10 miles

Experience: I am passionate about mathematics and physics and the majority of my work comprises of:

(Further) Mathematics: MIE, Edexcel and AQA C1,C2,C3,C4,M1,M2, S1, and FP1
Physics: Edexcel, AQA, OCR and WJEC A-Level.

Whilst tutoring in London, I have worked with students from prestigious schools including St. Paul`s School, Queen`s Gate Girls School, Dulwich College, and MPW.

Matthew is friendly and personable. He explains concepts clearly and uses analogy to explain things in different ways. He then checks my daughter`s understanding by asking her to explain concepts to him. Her confidence has increased and her marks are improving. We would have no hesitation in recommending Matthew as a tutor.
