A friendly, reliable tutor with transferrable enthusiasm for mathematics! 1st Class Maths degree from Leeds University and a strong academic record across the board.

I have experience working towards GCSE, A Level and Key Skills Tests for University with students of varying ability. Experience both of consolidating C grades or studying higher level work to move up a grade boundary.

By offering new ways of looking at mathematics and allowing for creativity I enjoy watching enthusiasm for mathematics grow with my students. A strong foundation in arithmetic is key to developing exam skills and I dedicate time to slowly building confidence before tackling more complex exam problems.

I would describe my teaching style as relaxed and cheery. I set work between sessions and expect students to work hard, but aim to avoid frustration by encouraging students to leave work they don`t understand for us to work through together. I find this improves the amount of work they do independently.
