Information about Hon Wai
I am a professionally trained clarinettist. I have had 15-year teaching experience mainly helping pupils for their exams and competitions.
As a performer, I was the clarinettist at the Young Virtuosi Festival 2012 and have been the clarinettist at the Pacific Trio since 2010. I regularly gives solo and chamber recitals acorss the UK. I also worked as a freelancer at some of the professional orchestras in Hong Kong and Macau like Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Hong Kong Sinfonietta and Macau Orchestra between 2007 and 2010.
Availability: Very flexible. I can teach both weekdays and weekends. Please feel free to discuss the possibility.

Experience: As a tutor, I taught the clarinet, saxophone and music theory privately. I also have experience coaching ensembles and teaching in groups at schools, helping students to prepare their exams, concert, competitions, auditions, and scholarship applications since 2004.
One of my current pupils has won the 1st prize at Woodwind solo as well as the outstanding medals in both categories of Woodwind solo under age of 13 and Grade 6-7 at the Woodley Festival of Music & Arts 2014. He has also got the music scholarship for the entry of Eton College.
Recently, one of my pupils has been awarded Berkshire Young Musician of the Year 2020 and he is also the winner of the WBP competition Intermediate. Another pupil of mine got third place in the Watford Festival Music Competition.
