I currently teach GCSE Science and A Level Physics (both AQA) at the Kensington Aldridge Academy. For the 2 years before that I taught junior Science and senior Physics (Cambridge iGCSE and A Level) at Avondale College, Auckland, New Zealand. Prior to that, I taught Science at King`s School, Canterbury, from years 9 through to year 12 (Edexcel iGCSE and Eduqas A Level). Finally, during my first 2 years of teaching, I taught science at KS3, KS4 and KS5 (AQA) at the Folkestone Academy in Kent. This was as part of the Teach First graduate scheme.*
I have 6 years of experience teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics across KS3, KS4 and KS5 to a very wide range of abilities. I am experienced in raising attainment for low achieving pupils, and stretching high ability students to reach their full potential. I have been tutoring Science and Maths privately for 10 years.
I graduated from Imperial College London having studied Physics where I pursued several extra-curricular activities. I captained the basketball first team for two seasons during which time I organised subsidised trips to Holland and France and oversaw the team gain its first ever promotion. I also took up skydiving and I am continuing to complete my BPA `A` skydiving license. While in New Zealand, I gained a new-found love for the outdoors and now regularly enjoy hiking and seeking other outdoor adventures.
In my spare time I enjoy cooking, travel to unfamiliar locations and reading.

Experience: I am a passionate, personable and fully-qualified teacher with experience teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics to students from KS3, KS4 and KS5. I have 6 years of teaching experience in the classroom and 10 years experience tutoring Maths and Science privately.
My attitude to tuition aims to motivate, enthuse and boost the confidence of pupils. I work with the student to help them understand what`s holding them back so that they`re aware of how they`re growing and developing. This offers them the chance to excel and achieve their full potential, as well as becoming successful life-long learners.
During my last year at university, I undertook a 16 week volunteer programme as a academic tutor/mentor with YELP (a university based volunteering scheme that aims to increase the academic achievements and aspirations of secondary school pupils through effective mentoring). I tutored secondary school pupils one-on-one in German, Maths, Geography, Physics and general science.
