Hello, I`m Lucy and I`m a qualified and experienced teacher of French. My career as a teacher has spanned 30 years and I have always given private tuition both on a one-to-one basis and to small groups.
I also run the Hertfordshire branch of `[contact detail removed]` which involves teaching French to children through music, games and drama.
In recent years, I have given extensive online tuition and this has proven to be a very convenient and effective way of teaching.
By nature I am friendly, diligent and attentive to my students` needs - attributes which I consider necessary to being a good tutor. I always aim to put my students at ease from the outset. This enables them to open up and a good rapport is therefore established.
I am passionate about helping children of all abilities to reach their full potential and have a proven record of success with exam students.

Availability: I am available afternoons and evenings - Mon to Fri

Experience: I qualified from university with a B.A. Hons (2.1) in French and Italian and a Higher Diploma in Education. I worked as a full time secondary school teacher of French for almost 20 years and taught French to all ages and levels during that time. In addition to this, I have always given private tuition to adults, second level and primary students. I continue to do this currently, with the majority of my tuition taken up with preparing GCSE students for their exams. I also run a very successful business teaching French to toddlers and primary school students. Online teaching even to this age group has also proved highly successful and effective.
