Information about Daniel
I am a patient and experienced languages teacher, offering tuition for individuals and small groups. I principally tutor Spanish and French, but also receive English as a Foreign Language students and can offer support in Italian, German and Portuguese. Until recently I was working in a private school, teaching languages from 11-18, then I spent a year in the Cayman Islands teaching languages. I am now please to say that I am back and hope to spend a lot more time doing what I enjoy best and tutor 1-to-1 with greater frequency.
My last tutoring position for GCSE remarked that "he had learned more in an hour with Mr J than all term at school". I was also tutoring a whole family - primary children and parents before I was offered a position abroad. Now I am back and looking to start back up again!
I live in a bilingual household and coach adults and children in my home or can travel to a convenient place by arrangement.
As Spanish is a second language in my home, I can additionally offer a total immersion experience where you will have the opportunity to meet a variety of native speakers, practice natural conversation and experience the culture of the language, if this interests the student.
In addition to tuition, I can offer proof-reading, editing and website localisation services.

My son has had just a few lessons with Daniel but is definitely already building confidence in areas where he has gaps from general teenage laziness over the past couple of years! They had one session revising the preterite tense and he said that he`d taken in more in that hour than he had all year in class.
Added bonus if you`re busy - Daniel has been really straightforward to do make arrangements with.

Daniel helped our daughter for a few weeks before her GCSE in Spanish. He gave her confidence and was very flexible about what to cover, depending on what he needed. He fitted us in at short notice which was kind and prepared well in advance. We will use him again for A levels in the future.
