Information about Anthony
I am a patience, caring and dependable person. I always distinguish myself as a discipline and dedicated individual when it comes my career as a teacher.
I have the natural tendency to empower young learners towards becoming independent learners. Listening is one of the greatest skills in teaching and I am very proud to mention that I am a good listener and an excellent communicator. One of the most rewarding jobs to me is teaching, it is a major achievement to see my pupils` grow and graduate into different works of life.
Availability: I am available anytime from 4pm on Mondays to Fridays and 9am to 6pm on Saturdays.
Willing to travel: 3 miles
Experience: I have taught Mathematics in secondary schools and on a 1-1 basis for 18 years in the UK. I use different learning styles depending on my pupils` learning need. Tasks are well differentiated, effective questioning and the correct pace are administered according to pupils` ability.
My lessons in the mainstream have been described by OFSTED and senior management as consistently outstanding.
Every child has different learning needs, eg SEN, GT, EAL etc . I therefore have to conduct an initial assessment on the student to determine the right teaching approach and tools. This assessment is necessary because students can be in one or more of the following categories of learners: kinaesthetic, visual or audio.
Resources and lesson plans are prepared based on the information gathered. Pupils` are motivated as lessons progress. Constructive feedback is given to parents or guidance.
