Information about Abigail
I am a third year Natural Sciences student at the University of Cambridge. I really enjoy teaching maths and physics, and I believe all students can enjoy and succeed in these subjects with the right support.
I tutor maths and physics from KS3 to A-level. I also offer tutoring for students taking the University of Oxford Physics Aptitude Test (PAT) or the University of Cambridge Natural Sciences Admissions Assessment (NSAA), as well as support with personal statements and interview preparation.
My previous students have praised my clear explanations and the way I helped them to make links between different parts of the course and develop a thorough understanding of the theory, reducing the need for memorising.
I am acutely aware of the difficulties faced by students who have missed valuable learning time in school due to COVID-19. I can help students develop good understanding and make great academic progress while working with time constrains around their other schoolwork and commitments.
As a current university student, I am understanding of how much hard work exams can be and of the difficulties facing school students. Fortunately, I have a wealth of advice for managing revision and exam technique. I achieved 4 A*s at A-level (in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry).
Availability: I have flexible availability for weekdays, evenings and weekends, and I am available for tutoring during school holidays. Please feel free to get in touch about your requirements.

My daughter has had Abi for the last couple of months. She had a very calm manner and a very positive way of reinforcing the learning points. My daughter has enjoyed the sessions, learning topics much quicker than at school and asked for an extra session each week.
