My career started when I was accepted at Chetham`s School of Music and studied at the very highest level. I was offered a scholarship to Birmingham Conservatoire in 2004 and gained my BMus (hons) with a 2:1 in 2008. Over the next year I trained at Birmingham City University as a Teacher of Music and Peripatetic keyboard teacher and gained Qualified Teacher Status. I achieved my Grade 8 violin and piano at a young age. I now work as a freelance Musician and Teacher across the Northwest and in Staffordshire.
During my training as a pianist I participated in various masterclasses and concerts. This included a concert at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester and masterclasses with prestigious musicians such as Murray Mclachlan, Peter Donohoe, Margaret Fingerhut and Charles Camilleri. In my teaching experience I have had the opportunity to work in a range of schools and children from ages 4 to 18 years of age. I have taught music GCSE and helped children through their ABRSM exams and am able to help pupils achieve entry to Music colleges and Chetham`s School of Music. My teaching also includes experience in different subjects across the curriculum e.g. science, art, drama and maths and I am well versed in using a variety of teaching strategies to suit the individual needs of my pupils.
