Information about Alanna
When tutoring, my aims are twofold: firstly, I want to impart my love of learning to my students (good sense of humour essential!) and secondly, help them to understand how best they learn. WIth these skills at their fingertips, pupils are armed to tackle future academic difficulties and will want to embrace the challenge.
I am a 5th year medical student at the University of Oxford (St. Peter`s and Green Templeton Colleges) who enjoys music, sport and has a love of literature.
Availability: Best to email me for precise details as it can vary with placements, weekends always fine.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: I have been a tutor for the last 6 years. During this time I have taught students ranging from ages 11 through to 16 in a variety of subjects including Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English GCSE as well as offering more general sessions aimed at improving approaches to revision, study/exam techniques and essay-writing.
Importantly, I am experienced when it comes to establishing and maintaining a relationship with a student, one of whom I have been tutoring for the last four years.
