I am currently a full time History teacher at an excellent school. This will by sixth year as a full time teacher and my second as a Head of History. I thrive on exam results and I am proud of never recording a negative residual with an exam class, be it GCSE or A Level. Despite becoming a head of department I continue to strive to further my own development, and I have invested a great deal of my time recently in examining various GCSE & A Level papers, principally Edexcel A level politics & Edexcel GCSE History.

Each tutoring arrangement is tailored to the need of each students e.g. the focus may be on exam technique or pure content revision. An initial meeting will take place were we will set out a short and long term plan. Most arrangements tend to be a weekly session which is tailored to what best fits the availability of the client. I do my best to be flexible with times and dates, so they can be adjusted on a weekly basis. Finally, I am happy to tutor on Zoom or Skype should you want to minimise the risk involved with the coronavirus outbreak.

I like to build up a strong rapport with the tutee and the learning will take place in a cordial environment. The pace of the session will be dictated by the tutee therefore the learning will be augmented. Furthermore each session will be prepared as I would prepare for any lesson with excellent resources provided.

Availability: Monday - Friday 5-8pm

Experience: I have excellent knowledge of AQA/OCR/Edexcel examination boards for History and Politics at GCSE & A level.

There will be some A level modules that I will not be able to provide assistance as I do not have knowledge of all modules offered. Therefore if you are to make an enquiry please could you specify the modules (e.g. The Stuarts or French Revolution).
