I am an OFSTED rated `outstanding` primary teacher and I also have qualifications and experience in 1:1 tutoring. I have two children who have dyslexia and have researched and implemented methods to help children who are struggling in literacy and numeracy.
I believe learning has to be fun and interactive for children to be motivated and reach their full potential and am passionate about tailoring learning to suit the individual child`s learning style and needs
I currently tutor from year 2 up to GCSE and work at a Secondary school with A `Level students teaching them study techniques, so I am aware of the levels and curriculum in a wide range of years.
I plan for individuals so before I start to tutor, I like to know what level the child is at, any particular areas of difficulty and what the child and parent would like to achieve. Each session starts with a fun and interactive starter to get the child thinking, the main teaching to address the learning objective and then a recap on skills learnt and discussing next steps.

Availability: Saturdays and after school from 4pm

Experience: Primary school teacher for 10 years, I have taught in year 1 right up to year 6 . I now work in a secondary school teaching study skills to A `Level students.
1:1 tutoring for 5 years with children as young as 6 (year 2) right up to year 11 for GCSE`s.
