I am a London based (+Essex) linguist, a teacher by education and training (both Moscow and London), a keen communicator with a long term interest in Russo-British cultural relations. I have been involved in the RussianUK community since 1994 and have helped many people cross the cultural and language barriers through my teaching, consulting and cross cultural promotion. I am now tutoring both TEFL and RFL at many levels, but the one of the most thrilling experiences for me is to observe how a complete beginner (who never even came across Cyrillic) starts speaking Russian at the end of the first lesson! Having lived in the UK for 30 years, I can totally relate to the challenges of foreign language learners and can address them from a native English point of view.
