Information about Bernal

I`m an undergraduate at Imperial College London and originally I come from Madrid, Spain. I received a First Class on my first year and my second year. I`ve always loved Maths, Physics and Chemistry. I am bilingual in Spanish and English and fluent in French.

I did the Spanish National Baccalaureate where I obtained an average mark of 97.5%. At the same time I did the International Baccalaureate where I obtained 35/45. From 2007 to 2010 I was part of a small group of students chosen to study Advanced Maths our team went on to be very successful in the Community of Madrid Math Award.

Two years ago I did a research project directly related to Engineering,
exploring liquids and factors producing viscosity change. I applied my findings to oils used in engines and motors. I also obtained an Honorary Mention at the Premio San Viator de Investigacion.

Experience: In April 2016 I taught Mathematics to an A level student in Spain. He showed great improvement after the three weeks that tutored him. Last year I also tutored a GCSE student during Easter break. He needed help revising for Maths, Chemistry and Physics, and I helped him consolidate his knowledge in 2 hour sessions twice per week.

At summer Camp Wilvaken in Quebec I was responsible for a group of 8 campers and lived with them for two months for the past three years. This experience has taught me responsibility and to be enthusiastic, communicative and to take initiative. I taught sailing every morning to a group of 10 children aged between 8 and 16. I was the head of sailing so I mainly taught students theory and techniques. I also taught English and French, planned various programs and ran activities. Football, piano and cycling are other loves
