Information about Annette
Hello my name is Annette!
I am an experienced, enthusiastic and motivating tutor! My philosophy is that everyone can succeed with the right guidance and mentoring. I am a 2nd year Medical student at Plymouth University. Prior to this, I completed a biomedical science degree at King`s College London attaining a First class honours with an award for highest academic attainment in a Physiology. I believe in making learning engaging and interactive, because succeeding perhaps less daunting when we are doing something we enjoy. I believe in encouraging my students to find that passion they have for learning by building their confidence, helping them overcome personal barriers and fostering effective exam habits and techniques . In doing so, I believe that students can then go on to progress even further long after our sessions by adopting these core skills and mindset. Being a tutor who is a current student in the education system, I bring unique and fresh insight into my teaching styles that I personally find to be invaluable. I have 4+ years experience tutoring students from the ages of 9-16 in Maths and the sciences. Recently, I have been workout closely with students in KS2 focusing on maths and the 11+. I hope to work with my students to bring out the best in them, both academically as well as teaching them invaluable life skills they can continue to use in the future such as resilience and self-belief.

Annette is the loveliest tutor and made learning fun and exciting for my daughter. Always praising her for her achievements and very encouraging. She is very professional and was always on time. She is a very academic lady with alot to offer anyone needing extra help with their learning. My daughter is in the process of being assessed for autism and unfortunately she couldn`t cope with the new routine, so tutoring had to end. Annette was extremely understanding about our situation. I will definitely be contacting Annette again if my daughter feels she can cope with tutoring. We will all miss Annette but I`m hopeful we`ll see her again soon. Thank you Annette.x

I needed a Maths tutor as I had to sit a GCSE level exam as part of a doctorate interview and I hadn`t done any maths for 10 years. Annette helped me practice for my exam immensely. She went through the practice paper with me, showing me how to answer each question and gave me lots of practice questions of a similar type to help me prepare. Annette is a brilliant tutor and made me feel at ease straight away. I would highly recommend her!
