Every learner is unique and maths tuition provides a bespoke solution to the individuals needs. Some learners want to improve their maths in the run-up to an exam. Others may have lost interest in the subject or feel left behind in class. Tuition can help students gain confidence and really begin to enjoy maths.
My students experience a friendly and encouraging learning environment where they are supported and challenged to improve. Together, and involving the parents where appropriate, we create a programme of study which suits the individual and their needs. Regular feedback on progress is provided.
There are some excellent online maths learning systems which we can incorporate into the learning programme. This gives the student an additional learning resource at home and can provide valuable feedback to myself, the student and their parents. As the students motivation increases they often wish to take more control over their progress, and these systems provide this freedom. Combined with bespoke teaching sessions, students can make fast progress.
I am a qualified secondary maths teacher and a maths graduate, but I enjoy teaching students of all ages. I have up-to-date knowledge of the national curriculum and teaching methodologies, and also the depth of subject knowledge that comes from university-level study. My own daughter is now at university studying maths and physics.
If you or your child would benefit from some help with maths, please get in touch for more details. My fees are £25-35 per hour depending on individual requirements. There is no fee for an initial meeting to discuss your requirements, and no obligation.
