I am a medical student in London. I did my GCSE maths a year early and got over 90%. I also got all A*s at GCSE. I have tutored these subjects for the past 2 years and all of them, within the first 3 months of tutoring with me, went from acting 40% to 80% last year one of my students got extremely high 9s in his Maths and Science exams at GCSE. I like to spend the first half of the lesson teaching and explaining new concepts, and then the second half of the lesson is me showing the student how to answer exam style questions on the topic I just taught. I feel that answering exam style questions from the very beginning is so important because it allows the student to be prepared for the kind of questions they’ll face in their real exam and therefore it won’t be a shock to them when it comes to it. Experience: I have already been a tutor for GCSE students for the past 2 years and most of my students started off with results of 50% and after 3/4 months were already hitting 80%. This year one of my students achieved all 9s and over 90% in all these subjects.
