Hi there! My name is Katie and I am a second year Economics Undergraduate at UCL, with some previous tutoring experience.
I primarily tutor GCSE Mathematics, but am able to help students in Spanish up to GCSE level also.
I really enjoy tutoring and have many worksheets and a revision textbook for GCSE Mathematics AQA board, from which I plan my tutoring lessons. I am very friendly, approachable and encouraging but most importantly I really love both Maths and Spanish, which is the key message that I try to convey to my students!
Availability: I am available most days from now (19th June 2018) until the 31st of July 2018, so I unfortunately won`t be able to commit to long term tutoring needs as I am moving to Madrid in August.
But I am more than happy to take any last-minute bookings, or work consistently from now until the end of July with students.
Willing to travel: 2 miles
Experience: I have had three long term tutoring jobs with young females in years 10 and 11, helping them with GCSE Maths. I like to think that I have built relationships with all three girls, and that they have begun as quiet and come out of their shells to be confident mathematicians. I do love maths as a subject which is the key aspect to my approach to tutoring, as well as always being encouraging. My main focus is often around trying to show students that there is often many ways to approach a question, and many different methods to try, therefore they should never give up if they don`t understand a particular method!Contact this Tutor
