I am an avid lover of English Literature, and I have a voracious appetite for books, poems and plays. I am currently employed as a Higher Learning Teaching Assistant for literacy in an inner city secondary school in London. I hope that my experience of working with children and developing a close relationship with them that allows for mutual respect and trust, will prepare me for my eventual career as an English Teacher.
I have worked with children within education for over a year, and within that time I have learned many different things, one of them being that children learn in very different ways and what one child may respond to, the other may not. Having adaptable teaching styles is crucial when working with children as it allows their true abilities and talents to shine through. I personally feel rewarded when a child`s confidence in their own abilities grows and magnifies. It is a constant reminder of the fact that every single child is able, you just have to be willing to invest in their development.

Experience: I have a Second class honours degree in English Literature from CCCU and I also hope to one day obtain an MA in English.
I have helped with tutoring the children of friends and family members in English, and with my help and persistence their aptitude for English increased to the point where their analysis of classroom texts, understanding of Shakespearean plays and grasp of English language saw a marked improvement.
