I coach people in revision strategy, and preparation for exams, interviews, presentations and other stressful situations.

I am a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. In my final exams I was second in the world: over 4000 people sat the exam - I got the second highest mark.

Over three years, I got A’s in 10 out of 11 CIMA exams. I am clever, yes, but that performance was also due to my brilliant revision and exam strategy which I developed over several years. I can coach you in that revision strategy, and I believe it will move you up at least one grade in any exam.

My revision strategy is suitable for any academic subject, and can help anyone - from teenagers sitting school exams, to adults taking professional qualifications. The strategy is not subject specific it is a 12 week approach to preparing for exams. It covers not only revision, but also regular exercise and relaxation techniques.

I have run my own consultancy and training business for over 20 years. As well as exam preparation, I can coach you to prepare for interviews, presentations, important meetings, or any other difficult work situation.

As part of my work, I write online training courses for [contact detail removed] I have also had many articles published and have spoken at conferences across Europe and in the USA. As such I am also able to coach individuals to improve their written and spoken English.

I coach face-to-face or over Skype/ Google Hangouts.

The first meeting is, typically, a one hour planning and getting to know each other session.

Subsequent sessions will be one to two hours once or twice weekly depending on need.

I strongly believe in the power of exercise to help learning and face-to-face sessions will include 20 minutes “walking learning”. For online coaching, I leave exercise as homework. I also teach coachees simple self-hypnosis techniques to help consolidate the learning and deal with stress.

Typical interventions are as follows:

- revision and exam preparation strategy: minimum 8 weekly sessions preferably 12

- interview/ presentation/ meeting preparation: approximately 4 sessions

As a qualified management accountant, I am able to coach students with CIMA exams. I also help pupils with GCSE and Scottish National 5 Maths and Business Studies and Scottish National 5 Modern Studies.

- CIMA study support: up to 26 weekly sessions depending on need

- GCSE/ National 5 Maths, Business Studies, Modern Studies: up to 30 weekly sessions depending on need

I am married with a 17 year-old daughter and two dogs. We live just north of Glasgow. Where travel time and expenses are covered, I work throughout the UK, Europe and, on occasion, the USA.
