I am a fully qualified Primary school teacher, having graduated from Reading University`s PGCE course in 2012 with 79.2 out of a maximum possible score of 80. As you can see, I work very hard to achieve success and will do the same for your child. I am very committed to my pupils and will work with your child as often and for as long as you desire. Learning should be fun and I strive to make the area of learning they find challenging enjoyable which resultantly builds confidence and thus results!

I have been teaching across the Lower Juniors and Juniors at an Ofsted rated `Outstanding` school in Emmer Green, Reading (Ofsted visit 2012) since graduating. I am now in my eleventh year and still incredibly passionate about my job! I have taught all age ranges within the primary curriculum so am able to confidently address and support needs across the board.

My teaching approach varies depending on the needs of the child however I always set out to ensure that the children I teach enjoy themselves! Education should not be a chore! I naturally am a very positive, smiley person and will give a lot of encouragement. Promoting your child’s self-belief in their ability in their area of challenge is fundamental to progress being made and I would love to help your child excel in all that they do!

I have references available if you would like to read them as well as a high level of positive feedback. To date, I have never had an unhappy client- which I am very proud of. I aim to provide a high quality service every time. I am fully enhanced DBS checked too - this is also available upon request. I provide all learning resources including a little sweet treat and sticker at the end of each session as a little reward. Our sessions should not feel like ‘a lesson full of hard work’, instead, more ‘investigating the area of challenge together!’

Availability: I strive to arrive promptly to face to face appointments and guarantee that your child will have a full hour of tuition, with excellent feedback on their areas of strength and weakness. I will always recommend learning activities to help plug the gaps until our next session during the week if you would like additional ‘homework’ set.

I am flexible with my availability and will try to fit in to your schedule. I work part time in school while my children are young. Due to having young children, I require flexibility too. I tutor online and in person, and will happily travel to your home if you live locally. If more convenient for you, I am also available weekends and after school. In addition, I am also available for sessions during the school holidays.

Experience: I have worked, fully qualified, in schools for 11 years now and a number of years when gaining experience as a teaching assistant before commencing my degree. I am a fully qualified Primary School teacher. I have taught across the Juniors and Lower Juniors - mainly Year 3 and 4 - at an Ofsted rated `Outstanding` School in Reading since 2012. I am currently a KS1, Year 1 class teacher with excellent Phonics knowledge. I have extensive experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and I am always ready to adapt our sessions to meet the needs of your child.
