Information about Matthew

I am a very friendly and enthusiastic teacher with a passion for science and education.

Following my undergraduate in physics and chemistry I undertook teacher training through the Teach First graduate scheme. Having taught science (KS3/4) for two years [contact detail removed], I am now studying a Data Science Masters at Sussex University.

Extensively developing and delivering resources and units of work has left me with a very good knowledge of the new curriculum, particularly how to determine what information examiners are looking for.

Availability: I am a Msc student, however I will be available on weekday evenings (from 5pm) and Saturday mornings.

Willing to travel: 2 miles

Experience: 2 years as a science teacher at The Hastings Academy (Secondary School). I led delivery of physics for the duration of this time and taught extensively in both KS3 and 4.

My son has had 3 lessons with Matthew so far so it is early days yet. However considering how much he demonstrated about having a maths tutor it is going very well and I have already seen some improvement.
