Very good teacher.

Tutors Response :

Thank you for your kind words. It is great to work in a partnership with parent and child, who understand what is needed. It s this that makes it work so well.

This is the worst experience I have ever had with a tutor, he asked payment in advance which is fine if he delivers, and I was clear I was looking for a long term tutoring. He cancelled classes without notice, not caring much about my sons education, then changed the hours (as an excuse that he had to take his daughter to sports) like he didn’t know this before commiting to teaching, so we could not keep up with all of this. Of course if he cancelled thing last minute it was ok, one time I had an accident and he still charged me for the hour. I felt all he was interested was the money and not my sons education. He seemed competent, but again he was super expensive. At the end when he decided to teach properly and in a regular manner then he said he was giving up teaching altogether. A few weeks later he was advertising again. Most tutors I used in this site have been excellent, and no one is perfect but if you care about continuity, and someone who cares for your children education rather than money, and a contract that works well for the tutor but not the parents and let you down many times is not fair.Just wasted a whole term with this gentleman and that impact in my sons progress luckily I found an excellent tutor and he is been flying ever since. I just put this review so other parents do not have the same experience as us

Tutors Response :

Dear Dr Alona,
I feel that as time has now passed since I taught your son, it is time to respond to your feedback. As is the standard practice with all tutors payment in advance is a standard requirement - this happens in all areas of schooling whether it be peripatetic teachers in schools or private tutors out of schools. Advanced timings are always honoured and it was clearly explained to you, as I do with all parents, that as a parent myself I too have the best interest of my own children at heart as well as those of my students. It happened that during this time I had to accommodate a numbers of tutees and my own family. You were the only one who was reluctant to be flexible. The point about money is erroneous. All parents are given a breakdown of what is taught and when. Any dates that either the child misses or myself misses is credited to the account and is either brought forward or paid back. Unlike peripatetic teachers who can keep the money paid if the child is unable to attend, I do not.
I would like to point out that although you make it clear in your review of my competency and expense, you were given the information about the price of the lessons ahead of the agreement.
Finally, I am glad that you have found a tutor who can meet your child`s specific learning needs and I wish him every success for the future.

Mr Jason has been doing face to face and online lessons with my son. He helped him to settle in UK’s educational system as we moved from abroad when he was in year 4. He also identified his needs and supported him to meet his potentials. We would definitely recommend him for his knowledge and professionalism.

Tutors Response :

Dear Dr. Raptaki,
thank you for your kind words. It was a pleasure teaching your son and I hope that he now has the full confidence that we both knew he had. Although it was sad to say goodbye, he was ready to become that wonderful independent learner.

Delighted with Jason`s tutoring of our daughter so far. Her main problem was lack of confidence due to weak foundation of math knowledge, Jason addresses this well and we can see her confidence is improving. Happy to recommend!

Tutors Response :

Many thanks for your recommendation. J is a delight and it is great to see her improve and make progress not only in mathematics but also her confidence in general.
