Information about Alice
I am a qualified physics teacher with a degree in Natural Sciences (Physics, Philosophy and economics) from Durham University. I taught GCSE and A Level Physics and KS3 Science in secondary state schools and was also a Head of Year for two years. I have two very young children and so I am not teaching in a school at the moment but I very much love teaching physics and am tutoring while I am not working at a school.
I graduated from Durham in 2010, then spent a year living in Italy where I completed a TEFL qualification and taught and tutored English. I then completed a Science PGCE at the University of Bristol in 2012 and my NQT year at an outstanding comprehensive in London in 2013. I moved to another outstanding state school in Kent and taught there from September 2014- August 2018.
Availability: Weekday evenings and Sundays
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: I taught Physics for 6 years in two different outstanding secondary schools and, since having children, I have tutored A level students privately. In both schools I taught general science to KS3 and Physics at GCSE and A-Level. I have taught Edexcel, OCR and AQA specifications. All recent examination classes I have had partial or total responsibility for achieved better than expected results. I have taught a mixed range of ability.
I also have experience tutoring English as a foreign language.
