Information about Christi

I`m a second year LSE student studying a BsC in Maths with Economics. I studied A-levels in Maths, Further Maths and Physics where I achieved A*A*A, respectively. My first year in LSE, I achieved a first with an average of 74%. I`m also a member and captain of one the LSE basketball team`s and I go gym about 4-6 times a week so I know how to balance my time well.

I believe to achieve the best grades, instead of memorising the content, one must understand and learn to apply what they`re being taught. Most students do maths without knowing what the maths they`re doing means and this is why students struggle to achieve the highest grades. My teaching style teaches understanding so that examiners are unable to throw you off with tricks in the exams. I will teach you the techniques that helped me get the best grades in maths all throughout academia.

Availability: My availability includes:
Weekends: all day
Wednesday`s: all day
Tuesday and Thursday: afternoon and evening

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: My tutoring experience includes tutoring year 10 students every week during year 12 from October to April In maths and physics. I have also helped tutor friends in maths from GCSE too A-level.

During secondary, I went to The Elmgreen School which was on The Daily Express`s list of worst schools in England and I achieved an A* in maths. I know what it takes to improve a students grade in maths just because of the progress I made in GCSE and A-Level using my techniques for maths.

I have internship experience at banks where I worked as an intern at Deutsche Bank as part of the `IHAD` programme. I also worked as a banking intern at a merchant bank by the name of Lepe Partners.

I also have experience in the world of academia where I worked as a maths researcher at Imperial College London as part of the Nuffield Research Placements. I worked on a maths project in a team of six for six weeks where It helped my communication skills. In addition, we presented to actual Imperial researchers aiding my public speaking skills. I also was a part of the UCL summer challenge for Maths where I got a distinction for my research paper on topology.
