I currently work full time at an Independent College in central London and I have worked there for the past 33 years. In addition to my degree in Physics I have a Masters in Corrosion Science and Engineering as well as a Masters in Business Administration (MBA)(University of Westminster).

I started my career as a Mathematics teacher but soon took on various roles and positions of responsibilities alongside my teaching. These have included: Head of Mathematics (21 years), Director of Studies (from 1998 to date), Safeguarding Lead (6 years), NQT Manager (from 2012 to date) and Assistant Principal -Pastoral (from 2018).
In my role as a Director of Studies, I line manage a team of Directors of Studies and a team of Personal Tutors and manage all aspects of students` academic life, attendance and emotional wellbeing. I advise and help students with their UCAS applications and I write and edit references.

Availability: At present I am available for online tuition in the evenings as well as online and at student`s house (if needed and restrictions allow) every other weekend. I will also be available during the summer and school holidays.
From September 2021 my availability may increase and I will update my records accordingly.

Experience: I have taught Mathematics for the past 33 years at both GCSE and A level. I have taught A level Mathematics, A level Statistics (students recognized in the top 5 of the country) and GCSE Mathematics. I have in the past taught one-term intensive and one-year Mathematics courses at A level (grade improvement of up to 5 grades) as well as preparing students for GCSE Mathematics November retakes (100% pass rate) and one- year GCSE courses at Year 11. I have mainly taught the Edexcel board and the AQA board and I am familiar with the OCR board.
I was the Head of Mathematics for a total of 21 years until 2018. I bring with myself a set of skills given my various academic and pastoral roles which I believe give me an advantage as a teacher. I am known for producing excellent results and I have successfully taught a range of abilities at GCSE and A levels. I help students individually as well as teach classes. I have taught privately for many years in the past.
