Information about Sara

My name is Sara, I`m a very enthusiastic 3rd year Medical Student currently studying at Imperial College London. I have a passion for teaching and helping students with their studies. I really value the importance of education and am keen to share my knowledge with others.

Aside from academia I am a national level swimmer and keen linguist speaking speaking English and Croatian fluently as well as some French and Spanish.

My approach to tutoring:

I believe that it is very important to teach in a collaborative manner, that is engaging and fun for the student.

It is extremely important to identify the method by which the student learns best, weather that be visual, passive or active learning. I then use and create material that is tailored to the learning technique of each individual tutee as well as creating goals to work towards and a clear schedule to achieve that.

When it comes to tutoring at a primary education level it is key to make learning fun, enjoyable and interactive to allow tutees to share the same enthusiasm for education that I do. As the level of education progresses I have extensive experience in teaching effective exam technique for students to be able to translate what they have learnt throughout the year into their exams to achieve the greatest possible grade that is in fact a refection of their understanding.

Availability: Day Time , Evenings , Weekends

Willing to travel: 15 miles

Experience: I have been tutoring on a 1-2-1 and group basis for over 4 years. I have gathered extensive experience tutoring Sciences and Maths up to A-level, as well as experience teaching in a range of primary education subjects.

Having obtained a place at one of the most highly ranked universities in the world I have an understating of the requirements for applications to such universities and have success in coaching student through university applications, as well as the BMAT and UKCAT for medical school. I have mentored students in the 11+ and 13+ entrance exams for secondary school with great success.
