Very friendly and approachable

I have demonstrated my ability to adapt to different age-groups and skills, particularly through football coaching in local primary schools as well as for Darlington Spraire Lasses (over 150 hours of volunteering)

I achieved 11 A*s at GCSE Level including Maths and Geography. These were the highest GCSE results in my academic year at Hummersknott Academy.

I achieved 3 A*s (Maths, Geology, Extended Project) and an A at A Level (Geography) as well as an A grade in Further Maths (AS Level)

I obtained a first class honours degree (Bachelor of Science) from University of Durham (2018) in Geography
Have done presentations and talks to GCSE Geography students about my school and university experiences (case studies) in preparation for their exams

Availability: Nights during the week (5pm onwards)

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: Successfully tutored a student to pass their Numeracy Professional Skills Test (QTS Skills Test). This was a computer-based exam which must be passed by anyone attempting to gain Qualified Teacher Status and before enrolling on an initial teacher training course (e.g. PGCSE). The student had previously failed to pass the exam on multiple occasions but, through my patience, encouragement and tutoring skills, they managed to pass in July 2015 and obtained QTS the following year.

Significant experience in tutoring students in preparation for GCSE Maths exams. Feedback from both students and their parents endorse my effective methods of teaching and ability to make substantial progress both in ability and confidence of students.
