Information about Julie
I am a qualified Primary School Teacher with over 19 year`s experience and and live with my husband and family in Warrington. I offer tuition in Maths, English and Specific Learning Difficulties - Dyslexia.
Availability: Days/Evenings and weekends
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: I have extensive experience of teaching children aged 7-11 years both one to one and also in small groups. The main percentage of this involved working with children to develop skills, confidence and motivation in Maths and English - which in turn raises levels.
Tutoring Approach: I can give closer attention to the needs of your child working one to one - which cannot be done in the classroom. Whether this be boosting confidence or preparation for SAT`s, I believe that children learn more effectively when they are enjoying what they are doing and having fun. Hence this is fundamental to my approach to tutoring. After an initial assessment I use the outcomes to produce a tailor made learning programme for your child.
I also offer tutoring in Specific Learning Difficulties e.g. Dyslexia providing specialist teaching for learners ages 7-11 years. I use proven multi-sensory strategies to provide a personalised learning programme.
I hold a full membership with PATOSS.

Julie tutor my son for his SATS. She was simply fantastic, she made learning fun and challenging. My son became more confident and archived two sub levels above his target in his SATs.

Julie has been amazing. I have seen my son`s confidence increase massively. he now believes in himself and doesn`t give up on tasks the way he used to. He really enjoys the sessions with Julie and finds learning fun. Julie has provided regular feedback on his progress and made very valuable suggestions about the best reading material to use. Luke`s progress has increased dramatically in the time Julie has been tutoring him and his end of school report and SATS results were the best outcomes he has ever had which he is very proud of. I would recommend Julie to other parents wholeheartedly!!!!
