Hello!

I am Head of Geography at a successful single sex school with 12 years experience teaching Key Stage 3, GCSE and A Level groups across a range of specifications.

Working across a range of specifications has given me expert knowledge of exam command words and techniques that enable students to access the highest levels of the mark scheme for either exams or NEA (at A Level).

I have also worked as an examiner for GCSE and A Level Geography. This has enabled me to fully understand the requirements for students in exams, including the recent fieldwork exams for geography.

I am passionate about education research and as part of my Head of Department role have written a number of Disciplined Inquiries about the impact of retrieval practice on GCSE students as well as the role fieldwork plays in the geography classroom.

Availability: Available most evenings and some weekends if enough notice is given.
