Experience: I would love to be a tutor because I feel immense gratitude through assisting others, especially younger children, in their education. I am an enthusiastic individual who is keen to take on an active role in developing pupils` academic skills as well as refining confidence and social skills.

I have achieves excellent grades at both GCSE and A-Level, this knowledge is something I want to pass on to others and help others achieve the very best.

Having been through the 11+  myself, I have sound knowledge of the process of preparing a child for this exam. In the past I have tutored 2 students for the 11+, for a total of 2 years, one of whom has been successful in gaining a place at a competitive grammar school and the other is awaiting her result.

During my time as a sixth former, I was appointed to mentor 2 students in their English studies. This position involved working with each student to improve her ability in SPaG, comprehension and creative writing, all whilst closely monitoring their progress and adapting lessons when needed to suit individual needs.

I have completed my CPD Certified Level 3 Montessori Tutors Educator Certificate. Even though most state schools in the UK do not follow a Montessori method of teaching, I feel that the information and skills I have explored go beyond that. Children`s/Teen`s Cognitive Science, National Curriculum Objectives and lesson planning are all concepts I studied, and I plan to take this into work me so I can provide an engaging and effective experience.

Through these enriching opportunities,  I have gained a wealth of experience and learnt so much: from deciding the most efficient teaching method to understanding how to reward a pupil for their efforts.
