First and foremost I am a mother of twin teenagers and have seen the ups and downs they have experienced throughout their school and now college lives. I feel that to reach our potential we need to work at our own pace and try a range of different learning methods in order to get the best out. I coach and mentor and feel that I treat every learner as an individual - I work at a pace they feel comfortable with and try to be methodical without being rigid, dipping back and forth if a topic is unclear, I will also challenge a learner to go beyond, once they are demonstrate full understanding. I show respect to all, no matter your age or ability and would expect the same in return.

Experience: My experience ranges from primary school teaching to coaching and developing college students and adults. I started my career as a Primary School Teacher in South Africa - teaching a range of subjects including English and maths. Currently I am a Year 5 teacher and enjoy teaching the core subjects of maths, English and Science. I have a range of teaching/coaching/ management skills which were honed working in a variety of roles (not all education related). I enjoy engaging with learners of all capabilities and see my job as a facilitator to learning.
