I have been doing Special Educational Needs (SEN) tutoring for 3 years, having taught Maths and English to young people with ADD, ADHD, ASD, Asperger`s. In addition I have worked with students who have been excluded from mainstream education and have helped them with their individual complex needs.
My MSc in Child and Adolescent Mental Health from King`s College, London, taught me how to teach complex concepts to older students and adults. This included working with visual material, an element which I deem essential in both teaching and tutoring as I believe it attracts the students attention and makes learning easier.
Availability: I am available Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays evenings.
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: I am currently a Learning Mentor in a primary school in London where I help students to overcome psychological and academic barriers. Alongside working in the school, I am also undertaking a professional Doctorate course in Counselling, Psychology and Psychotherapy which enable me to teach Psychology in schools and universities.
I am looking to tutor Psychology to all levels of ability (including SEN students) and all age groups both online or in person.
