Mihi

I was born in South Korea and grew up in Seoul, the capital city of South Korea.
My long-term interest in foreign countries, languages and cultures led me to study foreign languages and literature at the university. Now, I am here in London to realise these.
I expect to meet anyone who has the same interest and passion as me.
I am fully ready to introduce this exciting experience and to share interesting different languages.

Availability: weekdays/ weekend

Experience: I have many years of teaching experience for the Korean language in Korea and in the UK.
For the first few years of my teaching career, I used to teach Korean at the university for exchange students from abroad. After that, I taught secondary Korean students for their Korean as a school subject and essay writing for the university entrance exam for many years.

I have a BA degree in foreign languages(French and Japanese) and literature from South Korea. After I came to the UK, I completed an MA degree in `Applied Linguistics and Language Pedagogy` at SOAS, University of London.


<Teaching approaches>

I understand that there are many different learning styles and different language backgrounds(e.g., the first language, monolingual, bilingual(or multilingual) and different foreign language experiences). Learners may have different purposes and objectives to learn the Korean language. I try to consider all these things to make the lesson useful to lead effective learning and at the same time to enjoy learning Korean.

Teaching Korean from beginner to intermediate and advanced level for various purposes(e.g., TOPIK /GCSE exam, hobby to enjoy Korean culture(K-pop, drama, travelling), learning different foreign language.
