I received my MA (Cantab) in Classics from Cambridge University (Wolfson College). I completed a PGCE at Buckingham University in 2016 whilst working as a teacher at Beachborough School. I have also worked at the Dragon School in Oxford as a Latin, Ancient Greek and Religious Studies teacher. I left to go on maternity leave and I have now returned to tutoring.

Availability: I work on Saturdays and some week day evenings and afternoons.

Experience: I have been both a class teacher and a full time tutor. At both Beachborough School and the Dragon I taught Latin and Religious Studies to both Common Entrance and scholarship level. I have helped to prepare pupils for a wide range of senior schools. At the Dragon I was fortunate to be able to teach Ancient Greek as well. I am able to teach pupils of all abilities but I have a particular interest in primary education. In my time as a prep school teacher I have taught year 3 Maths and Music from reception to year 2. Although initially trained in class teaching, I have experience in delivering lessons to both children and adults in an one on one format, both online and in person.

For those seeking lessons in primary English, I can provide additional support in embedding foundational skills such as spellings, reading and creative writing. I would work alongside your school’s curriculum.
